Anna Maria Planitzer is currently enrolled in a master's program at the Department of Communication Science and the Department of International Development Studies at the University of Vienna.

She works as a research and teaching assistant of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Sophie Lecheler and the Political Communication Research Group of the University of Vienna, as well as a teaching assistant of external lecturers at the Department of International Development Studies.

Her research areas and interests include transnational political communication, public diplomacy, think tanks and lobbing, microtargeting within political campaigning and persuasion strategies in political communication.
